Royal Pier

A major Victorian attraction, the Royal Pier of Aberystwyth was originally built in 1865, but storms have necessitated a shorter version of this still-famous pleasure pier. The remains of a Celtic fortress that dates to 700 B.C. attract many tourists to its hilltop that also provides views of the town. Ruins of the town’s medieval castle are among the town’s most popular visitor attractions as well.

Aberystwyth Cliff Railway

Aberystwyth is the home of the United Kingdom’s longest funicular railway.
