Half Term Dates For Schools in Havering in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Follow @halftermdatesWe all need green, open spaces to recharge our batteries. Fortunately for residents and visitors, Havering has more than its fair share of parkland and protected countryside.
In fact, it covers more than half of the borough.
The Council manages over 100 different sites varying in size from small village greens, such as Havering-atte-Bower, to large urban
parks, such as Dagenham and Bedfords. In partnership with friends groups, we work to constantly improve these valuable assets.
A recent example is the installation
of new play sites and teenage areas to meet the needs of our younger visitors. Our parks are also used to site a number of events. These include the annual Havering Show and Planet Havering –
both held in Havering Lodge Park.
Smaller events include fun fairs and circuses, sponsored charity events and days that promote the use of the parks and introduce people to the varied
wildlife that live there.
