Half Term Dates in Falkirk Scotland. School Holidays for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Follow @halftermdatesThe Falkirk area sits at the centre of Scotland and at the meeting place of history. The Antonine Wall, built around AD146, is the largest relic of the Roman occupation of Scotland.
The recent restoration of the canals for navigation and leisure has created The Falkirk Wheel at the canal intersection. The Falkirk Wheel, the world's first and only rotating boatlift, was designed to connect the Union Canal with the Forth and Clyde Canal 115ft below.
Since the Wheel's opening in 2002, people have been able to travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow, with the route popular for cycling and walking as well as the hiring of canal barges. Today Falkirk has a wide range of cultural facilities.
Callendar House in Falkirk is a museum and visitor attraction, with permanent and changing exhibitions and historical research facilities. Falkirk Town Hall is a major venue for performing arts, entertainments and film.
Many other events take place throughout the area, including Big in Falkirk, Scotland’s national street arts festival, held annually in May.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that these Scottish school holidays are accurate, there are occasions when circumstances beyond our control may result in changes.
