On 1 December 2007, 1&1 Internet started to supply all European data centres and most office locations with electrical power from renewable resources such as wind, water, or solar energy. Helping to save energy and reduce our carbon footprint.

1&1's past and present electrical power provider Stadtwerke Karlsruhe will supply both its own 'green' power and will buy additional energy from other suppliers within the Renewable Energy Certificate System, RECS. 1&1's involvement helps to save about 30,000 tons of CO2.

We went online in 2008 and have grown our web traffic steadily ever since by providing free useful advice on all things related to school holidays and half term holidays. The idea behind Half Term Dates came about after trying to book a holiday and never being sure when the best deals were available!

It seemed that every local authority in the UK published their school term dates in a different location online and always hid them 10 pages deep in a hard to find location on their websites.

Annoying indeed when all you want to do is book that holiday, pop the kettle on and get back to your friends on Facebook ;)So that's the idea behind this website, we hope you find it useful, easy to use and of course we want you to return.
